![]() Select to Choose another app option at the bottom. When you change to PSP7 use the right click option to 'Open with' on the image. Is there anything I can do other than removing the Corel Program from my computer to stop it from doing that? I have gone back into the control panel and for reasons I do not know, the jpg, jpeg, gif, and png are set back to the Corel Program. However, the very next time I do the double click on pic, it goes right back to Corel PSPx8. Then back to double click on pic and it opens sucessfully in PSP7 Pro. I have gone into the control panel under Default Programs and set jpg, jpeg, gif, png to open with PSP7 Pro. Whenever I double click to open a pic or gif, it opens Corel PSPx8 which takes forever to load and bombs me with ads. In addition to not being able to open the webp's except with chrome and edge, I have developed a new problem. Also, there is no x button at the top right and I have to do a ctl alt del to close the page. What happens is that it opens a large blank page with small type at the top left corner that shows download 100% and at the bottom there is a start arrow and that changes to pause when you click on it. Hi Jay.I downloaded and installed XnView on my computer (Windows 7 Pro) just in case I did not mention that before. They are both good packages.Īctually I just updated my copy of and the newer version does open the files. I thought that would open but, on a test, it does not. According to the following article PSP should open. Your PSP versions may just not be current enough. I have not tried XnView so will look into that tomorrow. The only way I have found (which is ridiculous) is to open them using Chrome or Edge, take a screen shot of the animation, Use Expression Web to convert it to a video, use my gif maker to create a gif from the video, then save it with the gif maker as a. webp files will open on my computer using Chrome and Edge only. I also have Animation Shop and they will not open there either. I also downloaded and installed and no luck with that program either. Hi Jay.I have Paint Shop Pro, Corel PSP 圆, and Corel PSP x8 and none of those will allow me to load the file and save as another type. thing but select to choose another app and check the box to always use this program before selecting your browser. Of course, if you already have a package such as Paint Shop or Photo Shop lust load the file and save as another type.Īs to having these files open automatically in your browser when selected do the Open with. Unless you want to work on it later, click on "don't save".Īs you can see here, the background is transparent. As free options for image conversion I'd suggest or XnView. Paint 3D supports layers, so you can use that to easily make adjustments later. In the old Paint, once you have saved the file and closed the program, you can no longer step back and undo your changes. The only difference being that it also offers the option to save your work as a project so you can come back to it later, which is something that the classic Paint does not support. Note that there is also an option to "save" or to "save as". This is just regular old PNG that you know and love, and it does support transparency which is what you want. Since you want a flat image, and PNG format gives you that, Microsoft has decided to prefix the name with "2d". The reason that "2d" is in the file type name is because Paint 3D, as the name suggests, supports 3D objects. Now click on the left most tap, the "expand menu" tab.Ĭlick on "export file", then "2d - png". Set the line type to none.Ĭlick outside of the selection area to deselect the star. Set the fill color to yellow, and set its type to solid. Flip the Transparent canvas switch to On.Ĭlick on the Stickers tab. ![]() Start Paint 3D and click on New if you are presented with the welcome screen, or just click outside of the modal window to continue.Ĭlick on the Canvas tab. So here is how you draw a star on a transparent background in Paint 3D. The classic Paint is now deprecated and may be removed in future updates of Windows 10. As opposed to the old classic Paint "program". ![]() As part of the creator's update to Windows 10, Microsoft has introduced Paint 3D, which is a modern Windows app. They have heard your plead all the way to Washington. Although this does not directly address the specific question of how to do this in the version of Paint found in Windows 7, it does address the question of how to do this in Paint in general, which is exactly how the question was posed. ![]()
